Handle Removed Clearance Rule For Copper And PCB Routing

As a PCB design engineer, I have been working on optimizing the routing spacing between copper tracks and PCB layers. Initially, I faced an issue where the default spacing between copper and PCB was not meeting our project requirements. After some research and debugging, I realized that the main problem was related to the clearance rule settings in the PCB design software. Let me walk through the process of how I resolved this issue.

Problem Description

The primary goal for this project was to ensure proper spacing between copper traces and PCB layers. However, due to improper clearance rules, we encountered misalignment issues which caused away inadequate soldering and connectivity problems during the fabrication phase.

Solution

The issue arose because the clearance rule in the PCB software required manual adjustments to align with our specific design standards. Here is how I approached and fixed this problem.

Step 1: Add A Custom Clearance Rule

The first thing I did was to create a custom clearance rule tailored to our PCB design needs. I navigated through the PCB software's clearance rule settings, setting the required spacing to meet our design standards. This step involved defining the exact distance between copper and PCB layers to ensure proper functionality and alignment.

Step 2: Define The Rule Scope

Next, I defined the scope of the clearance rule to ensure it applied accurately across the entire PCB layout. It's important to set this correctly; otherwise, the rule may not affect the entire board as required. I used the "in any polygon" option to make sure the rule applied universally.

Step 3: Adjust PCB Spacing

After setting up the clearance rule, I modified the PCB spacing to match the specific requirements. This involved adjusting the electrical rules to ensure minimum spacing without affecting signal integrity. It's crucial to test these settings to avoid unintended effects on the circuit performance.

Step 4: Apply The Rule Across The Board

Once the rule was configured correctly, I applied it across the entire PCB layout. I made sure the rule was active in all relevant areas to ensure consistent spacing between copper and PCB layers. This step is vital as any oversight can lead to misplaced traces and alignment issues.

Step 5: Validate The Changes

Finally, I validated the changes by running a full PCB rules check to confirm that the new clearance rule was correctly applied. I also conductedaminar board inspecte to verifythat the spacing met our design requirements without causing any additional problems.

Conclusion

By following these steps, I successfully resolved the spacing issue between copper and PCB layers. The custom clearance rule allowed for precise alignment, ensuring our PCB design met all project standards without compromising functionality. This approach has proven to be both efficient and effective for similar future projects.

通过以上步骤,我成功解决了铜线与PCB层之间间距的问题。通过自定义清 Dynamics规则,确保了电路板的布线设计准确无误。这一方法既提高了效率,又确保了最终产品的可靠性。
